Customers Value RPPS Update, Survey Says
As part of an ongoing effort to maximize the value and effectiveness of customer communications, MasterCard RPPS recently surveyed participants about this newsletter, RPPS Update. Published three times a year and distributed to customers and prospects in both print and online versions, the newsletter offers MasterCard RPPS news, industry insights, customer spotlights, and contact information.

“We are keenly aware of the importance of providing our customers with the most up-to-date information, when they need it, in the form they want it,” says Jennifer Covello, MasterCard RPPS, who oversees the editorial and production processes. “So we developed a survey to measure customer sentiments. Response was excellent, and we received a good cross-section of opinions.”

Survey says
Among the respondents, nearly 60% receive RPPS Update in printed form, and of these, nearly 60% circulate it among their colleagues.

The print version still holds the lead in reader preference, with approximately 45% of readers using the print version, versus 28% who read it online and 28% who read both. Not surprisingly, a majority prefers that distribution not be restricted to the online version, though by a very slim margin: 51% to 49%.

A strong majority (82%) feels that the current frequency of publishing three times per year is good.

Useful comments
Respondents often took the time to supply comments and suggestions on a variety of topics.

“As you might expect from a diverse audience such as ours, respondents addressed a wide range of topics, and they've given us some valuable ideas to explore,” says Covello. “What was most gratifying was the consistently appreciative and helpful nature of the comments. Our readers can be certain that we take their input seriously, and we appreciate their feedback.”

MasterCard RPPS will explore ideas offered by respondents. Stay tuned for further developments.
