New MasterCard RPPS Reports Deliver Focused Business Intelligence

Accurate, timely information is a critical business tool, and MasterCard RPPS now offers our customers access to a custom-designed reporting capability that delivers data on your online payment transactions.
“When we requested feedback at a MasterCard RPPS Symposium on what new
capabilities would be most welcome, our customers indicated that transaction reports were high on their list of priorities,” says Joe Carino, MasterCard RPPS. “We went to work on it, and we now offer a full complement of summary and detail reports that deliver transaction data on demand.”
Built by the MasterCard information experts
MasterCard RPPS worked closely with MasterCard's Information Products and
Services Team to develop reports that deliver the information most useful to our
customers. A four-week pilot with MasterCard RPPS customers in the spring of 2004 helped refine the reports and enhance user-friendliness prior to the July rollout.
The reports are accessible through the Portfolio Analytics tool. Developed by
Information Products and Services, the tool resides on MasterCard OnLine™,
MasterCard's Web-based repository of products and services that help customers
better manage their payments business.
Insight and opportunity
“Portfolio Analytics provides end users with a broad spectrum of reports and analytics that cover all facets of the payments space. MasterCard RPPS reporting is a natural evolution of the Portfolio Analytics program,” says Jonathan Cetnarski, Information Products and Services.
“The MasterCard RPPS reporting package helps customers identify activity trends specific to time frames, billers, right down to the transaction level,” he adds. “Analysis may be completed to uncover opportunities within the MasterCard RPPS network or opportunities that help keep the organization competitive. Additionally, the information can provide insight as to where improvements have been made in transaction acceptance and growth on a per-biller level.
The reports can be used as singular sources of information or in conjunction with other Portfolio Analytics reports to yield insightful comparisons and to conduct trend analysis.
“We package the reports according to a customer's role. For example, concentrators and originators have access to different sets of reports that reflect their individual needs,” says Carino.
Package subscriptions are priced at $500 per month. Users must also be enrolled
in MasterCard OnLine, which is free to all MasterCard RPPS customers.
