asterCard RPPS customers can spur consumer adoption of online bill payment services with the help of the new Consumer Online Bill Payment Marketing Programavailable now.
The new turnkey program follows the same highly successful incentive-based strategy used in pilot programs conducted by MasterCard RPPS. Consumers who sign up for the online bill payment service and pay three bills a month via the service for three consecutive months receive a cash award.
The pilot programs produced impressive results:
♦ In one pilot, enrollment rates of 19.8% for online banking customers1 and 2.7% for offline customers2 were posted. Respondents fulfilled the terms of the incentive at rates of nearly 12% and 1%, respectively.
♦ In another pilot, fulfilled incentives were realized at an overall rate of 3.4%, with nearly 5% of online banking customers earning the incentive. Increases were also posted among both inactive online customers3 (3.5%) and offline customers (1.8%).
The new program includes proven communications materials, both paper and electronic, that can be customized with your organization name, logo, and contact information.
- Those who bank online but are not currently paying bills through their financial
institution's Web site.
- Those who have never banked online with their current financial institution.
- Those enrolled in their financial institution's online bill payment service
who have not paid a bill online in at least six months.
